English Language Challenges

Personally I liked the esperience, because when I was in the school I never enjoy learning english. And what I learned was watching movies or litsening, because I don’t remember paying attention in english classes of the school. So when I knew that I was gonna have English lessons in university, I didn’t like it much. talking to other friends who had attended English last year none of them complained about the classes and I thought it was weird, but when I started going, I understood. and I liked it a lot too. Because the method was completly different from what I was accustomed to doing in English class of the school. I like the reading part (mainly because it is quite critical) and the blog part because is really fun and the class passes very fast

I think that the aspects of my English that I need to be improved is expand my vocabulary to make sentences more faster. Because when I speak, I like to talk alot and I would like to do the same with the English. I plan do this whith Doulingo haha. Or pay more attention to words in movies and searching the words that seems stange to me.

Lately I use more this language, this summer I traveled and I had to use it more than at any other time in my life, and it was very entertaining talk to people from different countries who spoke English. So lately I've paid more attention more than before to the words. and watching movies without subtitles has helped me a lot.

Changes to my study program

In my actual career, the principal object of study is the human being and the things relationated with culture and the social entorn of the human. This can be studied from three diferents aspects, like physical anthropology (the study of human being body), social anthropology and archaeology. And I would like that in the two years of the career exist an equitative distribution of those three aspects of the antropology. Because the social antropology predominates more tan the other two.

The career lasts five years, and the workload depends on the choice of the specialization that the person likes. Because the study area is diferent in the three specializations, For what the workload in the future takes diferents ways.  

Respect to the infrastructure and construction of the building in where is the career of anthropolog, in this case FACSO, to my perception is a little bit “cold” (in temperture and decoration sense), also i dont like the fact that it has few meeting spaces to stays with people. so I would add more social places inside of the building. although I like the fact that is allow do murals, because add more life to the space.

The tecnology is very limited, actually I remember that once in one subject there were no materials for all students. So in that sense it would lack more resourses and tools.

And finally in the teaching methods i would like that were more warmer in the relation of the teacher- student, because i feel that the mayority of professors dont have much contact or conversation with the students.

Winter Vacation Plans

Sadly yet, I haven't thought about the places that I going to, because of the end of semester was a little stressful. But if I have a choose one place, that place will be the south, because I really love winter, rain and cold. So the south will be perfect for my tastes. I would love to go to Chiloe again, because I feel that I don't enjoy much as I wanted the last summer. I would like to go with my school friends, because the last vacation that  I spend with them was one of the best vacation that I had. They was a really good company to spend all kind of days, the sad days, the good days, and the days that you don't want to do anything haha. But back to reality, I don't have money for anything, so I think that my vacations will be basically sleep 24/7.

Talking seriously, I think that the activities that I will do, is hang out with my friends, watch movies in "el biografo" and the thing that I most I waiting for, is paint all day while I smoke a cigarette and drink a coffee, and obviously reading all the books that i don't finished yet. And now that I though I wanted to do those thing every vacation and then I do no nothing and spend my time in bed watching netflix haha. 

animals/pet

I have the most beautiful dog in the world, her name is Liza and its been with me in the most difficult times. Since I was memory I have a connection with dogs, the presence of this animals bring me so much joy. When I was a child an accident with my first dog took me in hospital for three days, and I never had a regret for this animals or any kind of fear. My current pet, is my only dog (that is more like my sister, actually my dad call her "hija") that came into my life in the right time. She was a mut from the streets, that was adopted from my school friend, and she showed me a picture of her (I still remember the picture, she was so cute and little) because she couldn't have more dogs and she was looking for a person that wanted her, so I took her into my house that day, and  I fall in love for her immediately. 

My favorite memory of my pet was seeing her happy, (and it came to me so many memories) but for me the most valuable gift is seeing her living haha, is so emotional but its true, my life is different all because of her existence. <3

But leaving all that emotional thing, I remember the day that I woke up and the first thing that I see was my dog with her snout swollen because a bee had stung her, and the first reaction that I have was crying because she was so ugly with her snout swollen, but with time I couldn't stop laughing.

Postgraduate Studies

Since I was a child I thinking about future, my university future. My mom and grandma was always telling me that is important study to be "somebody in life". So I went from wanted to be Veterinary (because i love puppies), to Astronaut, to Historian of art, to finally watch a Indian woman dance her typical cultural dance in YouTube and cry because of beautiful movement of culture. So here I am studying Anthropology/ Archaeology because I really liked knowing more about the human being in the social space. one of the thing that moved me to follow with this career is because I want to be an archaeology expert in the religious and ritual spaces. And do some mention in ethnoarchaeology(like Victoria Castro).

The subjects that i want to studied in the archaeology and ethnoarchaeological space is the death ritual, and the art of "ajuares" that means the objects that stays in the funeral. So for the materially, and art i would like do another mention in history of art. 

I would like study in Chile and another countries in Latinoamerica like Brasil, Mexico or Perú. This is because one of the temples that i liked more, is "Chavin de Huantar" who is in Peru and the Olmeca temples in México. And Brasil because had one of the better universities of antropology are in Latinoamerica.

In another hand, how i like to study would depend of my reality in that time. If I work,I would like to study part-time course. 

Its relevant to say that i would be this because i really liked this theme, and because its actually very present in my life, because one of the thing that i liked more is the antique practice, history and religion. 

My future job

I like don't to think in my future job like something that I will do for a duty or just for working and make money. I like to think that in the future I would be happy in the job that I want. 

In that case, because I studying Anthropology/archaeologist  I would like to work like archaeologist  in some part of Latinoamerica, having the specialization in ethnoarchaeologist. I imagine myself doing something really big in my future job, like finding something that change all archaeologist paradigm. I would like have another specialization in the ritual life and death and that way, learn from people that have another kind of vision of life. 

My future job must be outdoors, because in that way I would learn from people and communities that have another history and ancient practice. So, for that reason I suppose that I would have to travel a lot, and that is a thing that motivated me for my possible future job. And speaking about money, I DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA ABOUT SALARY. So I left my future in hands of destiny. 

This possible future job, would be in a few years more, because I are in the second year of Anthropology/archaeologist. But I am exited for the things that wait for me the next years.

Suffragette Film Review

Today was my first time watching this movie and i love it because this type of  movie inspired me to do so many things. Three things specifically i loved of this movie, the first was the fact that it was inspired in real life, and that touch my heart (because that story of those women it really happened and i am a woman so it touch me more deeply). The second thing was that i love every historical movie, maybe because of clothes i don't know. And the third thing was the fact that it seems that the movie has a good quality, the effects, the ambient, and the good actress. 

My favorite character was two, Maud Watts and Emmeline Pankhurst. The first  because she changed her life for the right woman to vote, and the second because of the power that she had to gather all women and inspired to continue the purpose. 

I like the fact that the film show us the reality of women during these years, and there's nothing that i dislike. 

My favorite scene it was when Emmeline Pankhurst is in the balcony giving her speech to all women who are gather, inspiring them to continue with the fight for the vote.
